1993년 평양미술대학 졸업. 조선화 창작가이며 공훈 예술가. 홍성광은 민족적 향취가 강하고 활력 있는 필치가 넘치는 조선화 작품으로 하여 유명하고 그의 작품은 시대의 맥박을 대변하며 새로운 구성 내용과 진실한 형상으로 하여 특출하다. 그의 작품 7점이 국가미술전람회에서 금메달을 받았으며 17점의 작품이 국가소장품으로 등록되였다. 국가미술전람회에 출품한 그의 대표작은 <수령님과 농민>, <신념>, <소택지에서의 감정>, <겨울의 칠성문> 이다. 그는 중국에서 열린 여러차례의 국제예술박람회들에서 2개의 금상과 1개의 최우수상을 받았으며 일본에서 열린 <코리아통일전시회>, 서울에서 열린 <통일전람회>에 훌륭한 미술작품들을 출품하여 높은 평가를 받았다. 그의 대표작들은 조선화 <조국을 위하여>, <애국렬사 안중근>, <우리 민족끼리>, <개성의 옛거리>, <널뛰기> 및 <통일연>들이다.

HONG Song Gwang (Democratic People’s Republic of Korea)

Born in Pyongyang 1960. Graduated from the Pyongyang Fine Arts University in 1993. Merited Korean Painting Artist. Hong Song Gwang is well known for his Korean paintings full of national flavor and strong and vivid brush stroke. His works represent the pulse of the times and are distinctive with fresh composition and true depiction. He won 7 gold medals and 17 works have been registered as the national treasure in the national fine art shows, and his paintings are highly appreciated. He was awarded with 2 gold prizes and 1 top-honor prize at the International Art Fairs held in Beijing, China and brought high-profile pictures on display at the Korea Reunification Art Exhibition held in Japan and the Reunification Art Show held in Seoul, attracting many visitors. His famous works are the Korean Paintings For the Fatherland, The Martyr An Jung Gun, Uriminzokkiri, The Old Street in Kaesong, Seesaw and Reunification Kite.
