Alicia GRULLON (USA)

All The Things We Believe In is a conceptual project comprised of photographs, video, and notes created during my residency on Yeonpyeongdo and Deachongdo, South Korean islands in the West Sea (Yellow Sea). The title of this project is taken from the state of the union address by President Truman in 1950 supporting the US intervention in the Korean War. Throughout the residency I reflected on these words and what they meant to me amid climate change, global unrest, corporations controlling the peace processes and the distance between them and the people who have lived the history.

Alicia Grullon is a New York based conceptual artist. Her work has been presented at The Brooklyn Museum, El Museo del Barrio, Columbia University, School of Visual Arts, Performa 11, Creative Time, and The Bronx Museum of the Arts among others.
